Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's EFL Cup quarter-final against West Ham United.

Seeking an immediate return to winning ways at home with a place in the EFL Cup semi-finals on the line, Liverpool host West Ham United in Wednesday's quarter-final.

The Reds dropped points at Anfield for the first time this season on Sunday, accepting a share of the spoils in a 0-0 draw against Manchester United despite firing 34 shots on goal.

Liverpool's profligacy saw them squander the chance to rise back above Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table, but cup duties take precedence before next weekend's crunch top-flight clash with the Gunners.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with West Ham, who cruised past Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 in their last top-flight contest.

Ben Doak

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ben Doak suffered a serious knee injury while representing the Under-21s at the weekend - tearing his lateral meniscus - and the 18-year-old attacker will be sidelined for an indefinite period as he prepares to undergo surgery.

Ryan Gravenberch

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fatigue
Possible return date: December 20 (vs. West Ham)

Ryan Gravenberch lasted just over an hour against Man United before succumbing to an apparent hamstring problem, but it has since been revealed that he was only suffering from fatigue and might be available for the clash with the Hammers.

Alexis Mac Allister

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 20 (vs. West Ham)

Alexis Mac Allister suffered a freak knee injury against Sheffield United this month, as a stud from a boot caught the Argentine on the bone through the muscle, although his issue is not a long-term one and may heal in time for the quarter-final.

Joel Matip

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

In contrast, Joel Matip's knee injury is of a much more serious disposition - the Cameroonian ruptured his ACL against Fulham a couple of weeks ago - and he may not play again before the season is done and dusted.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: December 26 (vs. Burnley)

Diogo Jota has been running on the Kirkby pitches as he builds up his fitness following a muscular injury, but the Portugal international will not be given the green light to make his comeback here.

Andrew Robertson

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: January 1 (vs. Newcastle United)

Andrew Robertson remains on the mend from shoulder surgery, having suffered a painful dislocation while playing for Scotland in October, and he is on course to return in January.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: January 1 (vs. Newcastle United)

Thiago Alcantara could also make his long-awaited comeback from a nasty hip injury in a few weeks' time, but having already suffered a couple of setbacks, Liverpool will not rush the Spaniard back into action.

Stefan Bajcetic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

The Reds are also adopting a highly cautious approach with the growing Stefan Bajcetic, who has been sidelined since the end of September with a calf injury and is no closer to making his return to competitive duty.
