Championship roundup: Swansea City end 100% Leeds United start

Swansea end Leeds United's 100% start to the new Championship season, while QPR are left still searching for their first points of the campaign.

Swansea City have prevented Leeds United from making it four wins from four at the start of the new Championship season, ending the division's last remaining 100% record with a 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium this evening.

Ollie McBurnie scored twice for the hosts in South Wales to maintain Swansea's own unbeaten start to the season under new manager Graham Potter, lifting them into the playoff places while Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds move joint-top alongside Middlesbrough.

McBurnie is now the joint highest-scoring Championship player in 2018, with his brace either side of a Kemar Roofe strike taking him on to 18 for the calendar year.

Pablo Hernandez ensured that Leeds are at least still unbeaten this season, though, levelling things up 11 minutes from time to rescue a point for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Queens Park Rangers' miserable start to the season continued with a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Bristol City, leaving Steve McClaren still searching for his first point in charge of the club.

Goals from Matt Taylor and Andreas Weimann (2) ensured a fifth successive league defeat for Rangers and a fourth from four games this season, extending the club's worst-ever start to a league campaign following Saturday's 7-1 humiliation at the hands of West Bromwich Albion.

QPR remain rooted to the bottom of the Championship table as one of only two clubs yet to pick up a point this season, alongside a Reading team who will play tomorrow.

Arguably the game of the night came at New York Stadium, where Hull City avoided their worst start to a season in 12 years by picking up their first win of the campaign at Rotherham United's expense.

The Tigers came from behind against their Yorkshire rivals as a brace from Jackson Irvine either side of Fraizer Campbell's strike cancelled out goals from Richard Wood and Jamie Proctor.

The 3-2 victory lifts Hull out of the relegation zone and above their hosts, with Norwich City taking their place in the bottom three.

Frank Lampard's Derby County were also victorious to end their two-match losing streak, with Joe Ledley and Tom Lawrence on the scoresheet against Ipswich Town at Pride Park.

The result sees the Rams end a 12-year wait for a home win over the Tractor Boys, with tonight's triumph their first in their last 11 home meetings and halting a Football League-record run of successive away wins in a single fixture.
