Rice: Hamilton will have no fear

The Accies boss is not ready to take an all-out defensive approach against Rangers.

Brian Rice says Hamilton will go full throttle against Rangers on Sunday after dismissing Steven Gerrard's claim he might shut up shop.

The Ibrox boss said on Thursday he expected Accies to revert to a back five when his side heads to Lanarkshire this weekend.

But Rice believes the best form of defence is to attack and he will send out his team with instructions to take the game to the Light Blues.

He said: "If you are in fear or in awe of your opposition, you automatically go defensive.

"So you can tell Stevie we're going to go 2-6-2 and have a go!

"No, I'm focusing on my team. I want us to be positive and that has to come from me and the coaching staff on the training field.

"I want the players to enjoy themselves. When you're doing that you work hard.

"I'm not the sort of coach who wants to sit in and stifle teams, even if they have got better players than us. We're at home, we want to be on the front foot.

We know at times we're going to be pegged back and have to defend everything that Rangers throw at us. But why can't we do that to them?"
