Enrique Cerezo: 'Filipe Luis staying at Atletico Madrid'

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists that Filipe Luis is staying with the club amid talk of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that Filipe Luis is staying with the club.

Luis, who returned to Atletico from Chelsea in 2015, has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent days.

Last week, Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak suggested that his teammate would be making the move to France before the end of the month.

However, Cerezo has ruled out the Brazilian leaving the Wanda Metropolitano before the transfer deadline.

"Filipe Luis is a much-needed player for Atleti and, like all the necessary players, he has to stay," ESPN quotes Cerezo as saying.

Luis has made over 300 appearances for Atletico in all competitions.
