We list the top international rugby teams that we saw in the past decade.

The past decade has been exciting for sports betting fans for many reasons. One of them is the fact that there have been so many amazing rugby teams to watch and cheer for. While some teams impressed with their attacking capabilities, many were demonstrating great defences and the strongest XV in many leagues.

All of this comes as no surprise, given the fact that rugby has evolved a lot in the new millennium. Below, we list the top international rugby teams that we saw in the past decade as Gclub reviews their performances in detail.

All Blacks (New Zealand)

New Zealand took the lead in rugby from June 14, 2004 and managed to win a few championships. The team known as the All Blacks have been very dominant with top players. In the Tri-Nations opener in 2008 in Wellington, they won against South Africa and managed to get on a streak, winning many trophies. For that reason, New Zealand have been the most consistently ranked number one team since the introduction of the IRB World Rankings, holding top ranking for more than 85% of the time in the new millennium.

Welsh Rugby Union (Wales)

Another dominating force in international rugby is Wales. They are known for going on a streak in the past decade, in which they won 15 out of 16 Tests, including a Six Nations Grand Slam. Even though the official team started in 1881, sports betting fans know the dominance of the Welsh Rugby Union for winning the Six Nations Championship outright for 27 times - most recently in 2019, which was also a Grand Slam. The team experienced their first golden age between 1900 and 1911 but showed their dominance ever since 2011 when they finished fourth in the Rugby World Cup.

England National Rugby Team (England)

English players in all sports traditionally wear white shirts. In rugby, the team are known to sports betting fans for their white jerseys with a rose embroidered to the chest and the white shorts with navy blue socks and white trim. Even though England were the first champions in the league in 2003, the team have been strong in the past decade too and reached the final for the fourth time in 2019, only to lose against South Africa by 32-12. Anyway, the team of England is dominant in the early Home Nations Championship (now named Six Nations) with many fans from all around the world.

South Africa National Rugby Team (The Springboks/Boks)

The Springboks is the nickname of the South Africa rugby team, who play in green and gold jerseys with white shorts. The team has represented the country in international rugby since 1891 and achieved amazing results. South Africa is first in the current rankings (as of November 2019), and rugby is one of the most popular sports in the country. Aside from their third World Cup title in 2019, the Springboks also compete in the annual Rugby Championship and have won the championship on four occasions in 24 different competitions.

If you are into international rugby, you probably know that all of these teams are great from a different point, and the games between them are always exciting!
