Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Swansea City and Huddersfield Town, with team news, predictions and lineups.

Swansea City face Huddersfield Town at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday in a battle between two sides struggling for results in the Championship.

The Swans have take three points from their last five league matches, while the Terriers are only five points clear of the relegation places.

Match preview

Swansea made a great start to the season under Steve Cooper but have seen results go against them in recent weeks.

Now five points adrift of the playoffs, the Swans will be desperate for a result on Saturday and a first win in five.

They have also failed to win either of their last two home matches and conceded a last minute equaliser away to Hull City in a thrilling 4-4 draw in their most recent fixture.

These two sides drew 1-1 when they met at the John Smith's Stadium in November, a result that would not suit either time this time around.

This has been a difficult season for Huddersfield after a poor start under Jan Siewert, but they have made slow and steady progress since the arrival of Danny Cowley in September.

While they are still within danger of relegation, their form has been much better and they have lost just two of their last six league matches.

They came back from a goal behind to draw 1-1 with Derby County away from home in their last match, but they have only won four times on the road all season.

The Terriers have also lost three of their last five away matches, with just one away win since the New Year.

Team News

Swansea defender Mike van der Hoorn is still out ahead of Saturday's match, with his return still around a week away.

George Byers is Swansea's only other absentee, with the midfielder set to return by May.

Huddersfield will be without top goalscorer Karlan Grant due to an abdominal injury, although the former Charlton Athletic man is now back in training.

Alex Pritchard is also back in training following a calf problem, but Tommy Elphick will not feature again this season.

Meanwhile, Collin Quaner, Matty Daly and Kamil Grabara are all out.

Swansea possible starting lineup:
Woodman; Naughton, Wilmot, Guehi, Bidwell; Fulton, Grimes; Routledge, Gallagher, Celina; Ayew

Huddersfield possible starting lineup:
Lossl; Simpson, Stearman, Schindler, Toffolo; King, Hogg; Kachunga, Smith-Rowe, Bacuna; Campbell

We say: Swansea 1-2 Huddersfield

Both sides have been struggling for form of late, but Huddersfield seem to be on an upward curve with performances improving. A late comeback for a point last time out will have boosted confidence, so expect them to just edge this one.
