Real Madrid reportedly expect PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to contact them over a move for Kylian Mbappe if Lionel Messi moves to the Parc des Princes.

Real Madrid are reportedly expecting a call from Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi over a deal for Kylian Mbappe this month.

The World Cup-winning Frenchman is yet to commit his future to the Ligue 1 giants beyond 2022, leaving Mauricio Pochettino's side in an awkward situation with regards to a possible sale.

Mbappe has hinted that he is keen to stay and help PSG win the Champions League, but Les Parisiens are running the risk of losing him for nothing next year amid interest from Real Madrid.

As PSG close in on a deal for six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, Marca claims that Real Madrid are awaiting a call from Al-Khelaifi over Mbappe once Messi's arrival is confirmed.

The report claims that Real Madrid will move for the Frenchman this month if the call is received, but Pochettino believes that his side can retain Mbappe's services even if Messi does complete a move to Paris.

Mbappe - who did not score a single goal at Euro 2020 - has amassed 132 goals and 61 assists from 171 games at PSG, including 42 strikes from 47 appearances last term. body check tags ::
