RB Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate is reportedly unhappy at his current club amid suggestions that Liverpool could sign the centre-back during this summer's transfer window.

The Reds are believed to have identified the Frenchman as a possible signing in the upcoming market, although Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche recently played down talk of a switch to Anfield.

According to Sky Deutschland, Konate is dissatisfied with his playing situation at the Red Bull Arena, having been benched on a number of occasions by head coach Julian Nagelsmann this term.

The centre-back was absent for the whole of January due to an ankle problem, but he has been in the squad for his side's last seven Bundesliga matches.

Konate has only featured on three occasions during that period, though, and has not played the full 90 minutes for Leipzig in the league since the start of December.

Manchester United and Arsenal have also previously been credited with an interest. body check tags ::
