Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho.

The 22-year-old's form for Borussia Dortmund between 2017 and 2021 made him one of the most in-demand forwards in European football, and it was the Red Devils that won the race for his signature ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Sancho found it difficult to make his mark last term, though, only managing five goals and three assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.

The forward has scored three times and registered one assist in 14 outings for Erik ten Hag's side this term, but he has not played for the club since the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on October 22.

Sancho was left out of the England squad for the 2022 World Cup, and he has also not travelled with Man United to Spain for their mid-season training camp.

The attacker has instead been working with Dutch coaches in the Netherlands, which have reportedly been personally recommended by Ten Hag.

"Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level. The club is fully supporting him in this," said the club on their official website when confirming that the forward would not be involved in the mid-season training camp.

Sancho will now be working to be involved in the team's next competitive match, which comes against Burnley in the EFL Cup on December 21.

The Englishman has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2026, with the option of a further 12 months.

However, according to Calciomercatoweb, Chelsea are keen to explore the possibility of bringing Sancho to Stamford Bridge.

The report claims that the Blues want to offload Christian Pulisic next year, with the USA international being linked with a switch to Man United.

Chelsea allegedly believe that a departure for Pulisic would open up the funds to make a move for Sancho, with the Red Devils potentially cutting their losses.

Sancho started his youth career at Watford, representing the Hornets between 2007 and 2015, before making the move to Manchester City.

The forward rejected the chance to sign a new deal at Man City in favour of moving to Dortmund, and he won the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup during his time in German football. body check tags ::
