Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly urged the club's owners to find an agreement with Georginio Wijnaldum over a new contract.

The Netherlands international's current deal at Anfield is due to expire at the end of June, and it appears increasingly likely that the midfielder will move on.

Wijnaldum remains a key player for the Reds, though, making 40 appearances in all competitions this season, and according to 90min, Klopp is still desperate for the Dutchman to stay at the club.

The report claims that the Liverpool manager has made a final plea to the owners to come to an agreement with the 30-year-old over a fresh deal.

However, Klopp is allegedly 'almost resigned' to losing the former Newcastle United midfielder ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Barcelona are said to be the favourites to sign Wijnaldum on a free transfer. body check tags ::
