Real Madrid 'identify three David Alaba alternatives'

Real Madrid identify three alternatives to Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Real Madrid have reportedly identified three alternatives to David Alaba in the event that they are unable to sign the Bayern Munich defender this summer.

Alaba will become a free agent when his Bayern contract expires at the end of June, and Los Blancos are believed to be the favourites to sign the Austria international.

However, a number of other clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea, have also been credited with an interest in the 28-year-old.

According to AS, Zinedine Zidane's side could target Sevilla's Jules Kounde, Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly or Villarreal's Pau Torres if they are unable to sign Alaba.

Kounde and Torres have both had impressive seasons in La Liga, and like Alaba, the pair have been linked with moves to the Premier League in the upcoming window.

Koulibaly, meanwhile, could potentially be available for £37m during this summer's transfer market due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

As it stands, Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June. body check tags ::
