In search of a second consecutive World Cup qualifying win, Morocco travel to the General Lansana Conte Stadium on Monday for their meeting with Guinea.

However, the home side are looking to pick up a first victory following a share of the spoils in their opening qualifier last time out.

Match preview

Morocco got the better of Sudan in a convincing 2-0 victory over the Falcons of Jediane at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Thursday.

Vahid Halilhodzic's men went into the interval with a narrow advantage thanks to Nayef Aguerd's first-half strike, before an own goal from Bahaeddine Rihan nine minutes into the second period put the game to bed.

The Atlas Lions have now won each of their last four home games without letting in a single goal, highlighting their efficiency at the both ends of the field.

Only two African sides have made more World Cup appearances than Monday's visitors, who reached their fifth finals in France three years ago.

Awaiting them next is a clash versus an opposing outfit who they have beaten in each of the last two meetings, the most recent of which was a 1-0 triumph back in January.

In the first ever meeting between the sides, Guinea played out a 1-1 stalemate against Guinea-Bissau at the Stade Olympique on Wednesday.

Didier Six's men opened the scoring quarter of an hour into the contest through Francois Kamano, but that advantage was wiped off immediately after the restart by Joseph Mendes.

The National Elephants have won their last four games on home turf and have every reason to feel confident ahead of Monday's game in Conakry.

With clean sheets in three of the four aforementioned matches, keeping it tight at the back will have a big say on whether the West Africans will come out on top or otherwise.

Team News

Vahid Halilhodzic is likely to retain his defensive unit from the last game with any alteration expected to be made further up the pitch.

Zakaria Aboukhlal was handed his second Morocco cap last time out, but the 21-year-old could be dropped to the bench for this one in favour of Munir El Haddadi.

Toulouse defender Issiaga Sylla has made the most appearances for Guinea since his debut in 2011 and moved up to 10th in his nation's all-time appearance chart.

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is still one to watch out for on Monday despite an unconvincing display in his side's last involvement.

Guinea possible starting lineup:
Keita; Sylla, Pogba, Camara, Cisse; Camara, Diawara, Kane, Keita; Kamano, Bayo

Morocco possible starting lineup:
Bono; Hakimi, Saiss, Aguerd, Masina; Taarabt, Chair, Barkok, Mmaee, En-Nesyri, El Haddadi

We say: Guinea 0-2 Morocco

Guinea, buoyed by their home supporters, will fancy themselves to get at least a point from this one despite the gulf in quality between both sides. We are backing the visitors to claim all three points in this one and maintain their perfect record.
