Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has reportedly been given the final say over any approach for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

The Catalan giants were heavily linked with Griezmann last summer, but the France international eventually decided to extend his stay at Atletico.

Griezmann has a contract at Wanda Metropolitano until 2023, but rumours persist that Barcelona could make another move for the attacker in the coming months.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Valverde will make the final decision over whether Barcelona lodge another big-money bid for the 28-year-old before the start of next season.

Barcelona could attempt to reshape their squad during the summer, and it has been suggested that the La Liga leaders may make a number of sales to fund moves for new players.
