Manchester City attacker Riyad Mahrez has rubbished reports linking him with a shock move to Arsenal this summer.

The Algeria international was linked with a move to the Emirates in 2016 after Leicester City's Premier League title-winning campaign, but he remained at the King Power for two more years before linking up with Man City.

Mahrez played a starring role in City's run to the Champions League final last season, and he has affirmed that he is focusing on his future in Manchester, in spite of a recent report claiming that the club had put him and Raheem Sterling up for sale.

Speaking to DZ Sport after scoring the winner in Algeria's 1-0 victory over Mali on Sunday, Mahrez said: "There is nothing about my future. I am well in Manchester. I will stay, God willing."

Mahrez ended the 2020-21 season with 14 goals and nine assists from 48 appearances in all competitions, and his contract at the Etihad does not expire for another two years.

Arsenal are understood to be in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer, but they have been beaten to the signature of Emiliano Buendia by Aston Villa.
