A report suggests that the Seattle Seahawks have secured the signing of free agent running back Fred Jackson on a one-year deal.

The Seattle Seahawks have completed a deal to sign running back Fred Jackson, according to a report.

The 34-year-old was released by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week as part of their roster cutdown ahead of the 2015 season after nine seasons with the club.

The Seahawks called Jackson for a visit to their facility, and the back has now penned a one-year contract with the NFC champions for the campaign, reports ESPN.

Jackson has rushed for 5,646 yards and 30 touchdowns in his nine years in the NFL.
