The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to tie down AJ Green to a new deal before they fly out to Oakland on Friday, according to reports.

The Cincinnati Bengals are reportedly looking to sign AJ Green to a new contract before the weekend.

Talks are believed to have been progressed over the past few days and according to NFL Media, they hope to have a deal completed before the team flies out to Oakland on Friday.

The wide receiver is in the final year of his rookie contract that will pay him $10.18m (£6.58m), and it is suggested that Green could be looking at a $70m-plus (£45.3m) contract signed by fellow wideouts Julio Jones, Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas during the off-season.

The 27-year-old has passed the 1,000-yard mark in each of his four NFL seasons, including 35 touchdowns and four Pro-Bowl selections.
