The Carolina Panthers acquire defensive end Jared Allen from the Chicago Bears by sending a conditional pick in the 2016 Draft to John Fox's men.

The Chicago Bears have traded defensive end Jared Allen to the Carolina Panthers.

The 33-year-old joined the Bears last season from the Minnesota Vikings, but he struggled to adapt to the defensive system at his new club.

As a result, the NFC North side have opted to trade Allen to the Panthers, who have sent a conditional pick in the 2016 Draft to John Fox's side to acquire the pass-rusher.

Allen has recorded 134 sacks in his 12-year NFL career, leaving him ninth on the all-time list in quarterback takedowns.
