Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's EFL Cup fixtures, including Newcastle United vs. Bournemouth.

Wolves vs. Gillingham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Wolverhampton Wanderers return to competitive action on Tuesday evening as Julen Lopetegui takes charge of his first meaningful match in the EFL Cup fourth-round tie with Gillingham.

At a time when the home side sit bottom of the Premier League table, Gillingham occupy the same position in League Two.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Gillingham

Despite the gulf in class between these two teams, do not necessarily expect a one-sided contest. However, while Wolves may require some time to get up to speed under Lopetegui, we still expect the hosts to edge this contest by a narrow scoreline.

Southampton vs. Lincoln (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Southampton resume competitive action on Tuesday evening when they play host to Lincoln City in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

At a time when the Saints occupy 19th position in the Premier League standings, the visitors travel to St Mary's sitting in 14th spot in League One.

We say: Southampton 2-0 Lincoln City

With no game at the weekend, Lincoln make the long trip to the South coast fully refreshed. However, they are likely to take on a Saints side full of first-team players, leading us to predict a comfortable victory for the home side.

Newcastle vs. Bournemouth (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Another Eddie Howe Bournemouth reunion commences on Tuesday evening, as Newcastle United and Bournemouth return to competitive action in the fourth round of the EFL Cup at St James' Park.

The Magpies overcame Crystal Palace on penalties to set up a last-16 battle with their visitors, who demolished Everton 4-1 in the third round to set up a tie with their former leader.

We say: Newcastle United 2-0 Bournemouth

The World Cup break arguably came at the most inopportune time for Bournemouth, who will face an uphill battle to reignite their golden goalscoring streak at a raucous St James' Park.

Even with question marks hanging over the head of Isak and former Cherries favourite Wilson, Howe's merciless charges can expect to seal a straightforward route into the quarter-finals.

MK Dons vs. Leicester (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Leicester City will be bidding to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup when they take on League One outfit MK Dons on Tuesday night.

The Foxes have beaten Stockport County and Newport County to advance to this stage of the competition, while MK Dons have navigated their way past Sutton United, Watford and Morecambe.

We say: MK Dons 1-2 Leicester City

MK Dons are more than capable of making this a difficult match for Leicester despite the difference in quality between the two sides. The Foxes might take a bit of time to get back in their rhythm, but we are still expecting Rodgers's side to emerge victorious here.
