Manuel Pellegrini tips West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere for return to form

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that England midfielder Jack Wilshere can return to his best form under the tutelage of the Hammers coaches.

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has tipped Jack Wilshere to return to his best form under the tutelage of the Hammers coaches.

The midfielder ended his 17-year association with Arsenal in the summer in order to link up with West Ham, with the two London rivals set to clash in the Premier League on Saturday.

Wilshere famously put in a stellar performance for the Gunners against Barcelona in 2011, and Pellegrini was asked by Football London if the Englishman could ever reach those heights again.

"Yes I'm sure about that," the Chilean responded.

"Because he is just 26 years old. Because he knows better how he must manage his physical work so as not to be injured, the last two seasons he played a lot of games.

"This season we are working with him from July 1, 40/50 days, and he's not having any problems."

Wilshere made 198 senior appearances for Arsenal, scoring 14 goals and registering 30 assists since his promotion from the academy in 2008.
