Report: Manchester United to offer Anthony Martial new contract

Manchester United are in discussions with Anthony Martial's representatives over a new long-term contract, according to reports.

Manchester United have reportedly decided to offer Anthony Martial a new long-term contract at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old was widely expected to depart the club this summer amid purported differences in opinion with manager Jose Mourinho.

As things stand, Martial has a year left on his present deal, with United having the option to extend by a further season.

However, The Sun claims that the France international could now sign fresh terms of around £130,000 a week for four years, with the option to extend for another 12 months.

The report also claims that Martial believes he can outstay Mourinho at Old Trafford and is now considering the proposal alongside his representatives.

Martial's only appearance so far this season was in the 3-2 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion on August 19, when he was replaced after an hour.
