Inter Milan may reportedly look to re-appoint Antonio Conte as their head coach ahead of 2023-24.
Ever since his arrival in North London in November 2021, it has been well-documented that Conte's contract would only last until 2023.
With Champions League qualification secured last season, the hope was that the Italian would further improve Spurs during the current campaign.
However, the North London outfit have already been eliminated from the FA Cup and Champions League, as well as only fighting for a top-four spot in the Premier League table.
Conte insisted after Saturday's 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest that qualifying for European football's premier competition each season should be viewed as Spurs winning the top-flight title.
Nevertheless, regardless of whether Spurs achieve that target or not, it has been heavily claimed that the 53-year-old will not be in charge of Spurs next season.
According to Football Insider, Inter are monitoring the situation ahead of a potential reunion with one of their most successful managers over the past two decades.
In two years at San Siro between 2019 and 2021, Conte won 64 of his 102 matches in charge, winning the Serie A title in his second season after losing in the Europa League final during the first campaign.
The two parties only parted ways due to a disagreement over transfer policy, Inter later selling key man Romelu Lukaku for a £97.5m fee.
Since then, Simone Inzaghi has been in the Inter dugout, his 57 wins from 88 matches coming at a similar rate to that of Conte's.
Inter also won last season's Coppa Italia, but the club are currently 18 points adrift of leaders Napoli in the Serie A table, as well as just three points ahead of fifth place.
The report suggests that club officials would strongly contemplate making an approach for Conte should he become available in the summer.
Much may depend on how Inzaghi finishes the season with Inter, with the club still in the Champions League and holding a 1-0 lead over Porto ahead of the second leg of their last-16 tie next week.
