James Rodriguez will reportedly spend this season with Real Madrid after a change of heart from boss Zinedine Zidane.

After spending the last two years on loan at Bayern Munich, Rodriguez's future has been a hot topic of debate at a time when Zidane has made major changes to his first-team squad.

There has been frequent speculation regarding an exit for the Colombia international, despite the attacker's willingness to fight for his place at the Bernabeu.

However, according to Diario AS, Zidane has now decided that he wishes to keep the playmaker at the club, just days after making a similar call regarding Gareth Bale.

The report adds that Zidane has been left impressed with the 28-year-old's attitude in training and during pre-season.

Rodriguez still has just under two years left on his contract at Los Blancos.
