Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral joins Levante on loan

Real Madrid announce that they have allowed Borja Mayoral to spend the season at fellow La Liga outfit Levante.

Levante have completed the season-long loan signing of Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral.

The European champions announced the return of Mariano Diaz earlier this week, leading to Mayoral dropping further down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

The 21-year-old faced the prospect of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Diaz being ahead of him in the pecking order, but Real have allowed the academy graduate to go out on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Mayoral leaves Real having netted seven goals from his 12 starts and 18 substitute appearances in the first team.

Levante sit in 10th place in La Liga having registered three points from their opening two fixtures.
