Keylor Navas "calm" over Real Madrid future

Keylor Navas insists that he is relaxed over his future at Real Madrid, amid suggestions that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could take his place.

Keylor Navas has insisted that he is relaxed over his future at Real Madrid, amid suggestions that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could arrive at the Bernabeu this summer.

Navas has been Madrid's number one stopper since the 2015-16 season, but there have been strong rumours that Courtois will be the Spanish outfit's first-choice goalkeeper next term.

The 31-year-old has said that he has already had a discussion with new Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui, and the Costa Rican is not concerned by the speculation surrounding his future.

"I already spoke with [Lopetegui]," Navas told La Nacion. "Everything is fine, everything is fine, no worries. I am calm. The truth is I have two years left on my contract, in which I have to spend my energies and my mind is thinking how to improve day by day with the effort that I have to show.

"I enjoy every moment, we must see what will happen in the future. Then I must not stop enjoying [life].
"I'm calm and I'm fine [in Madrid]. I have always said, every year, that I can be there, because I will be very happy.

"I'm happy, really grateful to God because there are very nice opportunities. I go with all the dreams of the world, like when I first moved there. I will work hard and strive every day to keep enjoying what it is to be in Madrid."

Navas has made 141 appearances for Los Blancos since a 2014 move from Levante.
