Gareth Bale has reportedly resolved to leave Real Madrid in January after failing to secure a regular starting spot under Zinedine Zidane.

The Welshman, whose relationship with the Los Blancos boss has for some time been a point of interest, came moments away from completing a move to Jiangsu Suning over the summer.

Reports have stated that Bale made a decision to leave the Bernabeu after being omitted from the matchday squad ahead of a Champions League game against Club Brugge last month.

According to AS, the winger has now decided that he will seek a move away in the January transfer window as he continues to exist on the periphery under Zidane.

It is claimed that Bale, whose contract at Madrid expires in 2022, has held meetings with his agent in London ahead of finding a new club.

Manchester United, along with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, have been credited with showing an interest in signing the 30-year-old.
