How Real Madrid could line up against Getafe

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Getafe.

Real Madrid will again be without the services of Thibaut Courtois for Saturday's La Liga contest with Getafe.

The Belgium international has missed his side's last two matches against Osasuna and Shakhtar Donetsk with a back problem and will not be risked for this game.

As a result, Andriy Lunin is set to continue between the sticks, while Dani Ceballos will definitely be absent for the Spanish champions due to a long-term hamstring problem.

Karim Benzema has also been left out of the squad, with the France international rested ahead of a busy run of matches.

Luka Modric was an unused substitute for Wednesday's 2-1 win over Shakhtar in the Champions League, having only just returned from injury, but the Croatian could be back in the starting side here.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to resist the temptation to shuffle his pack for this match, meaning that Antonio Rudiger might have to accept a spot on the bench once again.

Rodrygo was on the scoresheet against Shakhtar and could now play through the middle, with Federico Valverde being moved further forward to allow Modric to return.

Fit-again Lucas Vazquez is pushing for minutes at right-back, but Dani Carvajal is set to start once again, while Vinicius Junior is a certainty in the final third of the field.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Lunin; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos; Valverde, Rodrygo, Vinicius body check tags ::
