Zinedine Zidane on verge of return to coaching

Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane "will return to coaching soon", according to his son Enzo Zidane.

Zidane led Madrid to three straight Champions League titles before leaving the Bernabeu at the end of last season.

The 46-year-old was linked with the Manchester United post earlier this season, but Jose Mourinho appears to have strengthened his position at Old Trafford despite the team's inconsistent form.
Zidane will be back in management "soon", however, according to his son Enzo Zidane, who is a goalkeeper for Swiss outfit FC Lausanne-Sport.

"My father loves football and he loves to coach, this is clear," Enzo Zidane told Diario AS. "It seems likely that he will return to coaching soon but right now he is resting, and this is something that he needed to do.
"Managing Madrid was beautiful for him but it was also hugely demanding and involved a mass amount of work, so he is now recovering."

Zidane was in charge of Real Madrid Castilla before managing the first team between 2016 and 2018.
