Vinicius Junior has Cristiano Ronaldo regret

Vinicius Junior admits that he 'would have liked to have played with Cristiano Ronaldo' at Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior has admitted that he 'would have liked to have played with Cristiano Ronaldo' at Real Madrid, but has vowed not to spend too much time thinking about the Portuguese.

Madrid agreed a deal to sign the Brazilian for £38m when he was just 16 but were unable to complete the transfer until the youngster turned 18.

The move went through this summer, and the teenager has made two La Liga appearances for Los Blancos this season.

Vinicius has conceded that he wanted the chance to play with Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, but the famous number seven moved to Juventus ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

"There's nothing better than debuting at the Bernabeu against Atletico Madrid. I'm very happy with the group because we're a very good one. I'll come back better after this international break," Vinicius told reporters.

"I'd like to have played with Cristiano Ronaldo, but I'm playing with many other world champions so I don't have to talk about him anymore."

Vinicius scored 14 times in 69 senior appearances during his time with Flamengo ahead of his move to the Bernabeu.
