Alfie Kilgour bolsters Maidenhead ranks before Pompey clash

Kilgour has signed on an initial one-month loan.

Maidenhead could be boosted by the loan signing of defender Alfie Kilgour from Sky Bet League One side Bristol Rovers.

Kilgour has signed on an initial one-month loan and will be available to play against Portsmouth.

Christian Smith is set to return for Maidenhead, after he missed the match against Dover for a red-card offence in a 6-0 defeat to AFC Fylde.

Goalkeeper Carl Pentney could return after he missed the previous game through suspension for handling the ball outside the penalty box against Havant, with Nick Hamann going between the posts against Dover.

Portsmouth have been given permission to play their four loan players.

Ben Thompson (Millwall), David Wheeler (QPR), Andre Green (Aston Villa) and Joe Mason (Wolves) will all be available on Saturday.

Green has been sidelined with a knee injury for two months but could return for the cup tie.

Otherwise manager Kenny Jackett has a full squad to choose from against the Vanarama National League club.
