Souare out for two months following shoulder surgery

The Senegal full-back suffered the injury during the FA Cup tie against Grimsby.

Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare is set for around two months of recovery following an operation on his dislocated shoulder.

Senegal full-back Souare suffered the injury during Saturday's FA Cup tie against Grimsby.

The club released a statement saying he had undergone a "successful operation", adding "the plan is for him to return to training in around two months' time".

Souare posted a brief update on his social media account. The defender said: "Quick minor op, and it went great can't wait to get back doing what I love. I wanna thank everyone for their ongoing support.
See you soon."

Defender Souare had fought a long fitness battle after breaking his thighbone and jaw in September 2016 and was sidelined for a year.
