Napoli have reportedly upped their efforts to sign Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi by offering Arkadiusz Milik in part-exchange.

Icardi does not feature in the plans of newly-appointed head coach Antonio Conte, leaving Inter to try to find a solution when it comes to bringing in a replacement.

Juventus appear to be the favourites to sign the Argentina international, with the Serie A champions allegedly prepared to include Paulo Dybala in any deal.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is eager to win the race for Icardi, even if it means parting ways with Milik.

While the 25-year-old's stay in Naples has been hindered by a serious knee injury, the Pole has still contributed 27 goals from 67 outings in Serie A.

The report adds that De Laurentiis is also happy to pay in the region of £60m for Icardi, who is said to prefer a switch to Juventus.
