Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he would welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Italian club with open arms.

Ibrahimovic last played in Europe for Manchester United, who he left to complete a move to MLS outfit Los Angeles Galaxy in March 2018.

The 37-year-old has proved to be a huge success at the North American club, scoring 44 times in 49 appearances in all competitions.

The Swede will be out of contract in November, though, and opened the door on a potential return to United with his comments last week.

Amid suggestions that Ibrahimovic is eyeing a return to Europe, Ancelotti replied "of course" when questioned on whether he would be interested in a swoop for the experienced striker.

"Of course I'd take Ibrahimovic. It should come with a little discount, maybe even free," Ancelotti told Sky in Italy ahead of Saturday night's clash with Juventus.

The former Malmo youngster has turned out for Juve, Inter Milan and AC Milan in Italy's top flight during a glittering career.
