Neymar was reportedly 'left in tears' after failing to secure a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Barcelona.

Despite having left Camp Nou just two years ago, it has been widely documented that the forward wanted to be reunited with his former club before the end of the summer transfer window.

While it appeared inevitable that the two clubs would eventually strike a deal, news broke over the weekend that the 27-year-old would not be leaving the Parc des Princes.

According to El Chiringuito, the Brazil international was left in tears when Barcelona informed him that they were unable to negotiate terms with PSG.

A further report has also suggested that Neymar has been left angry with his current club for being unwilling to reach a compromise over his future.

Neymar still has just under three years left on his existing deal.
