Juventus are reportedly considering making an offer for Manchester United forward Antony during this summer's transfer window.
The Brazilian joined Real Betis on loan in January, and he has made a strong start to life in Seville, scoring three goals and registering two assists in six appearances.
As it stands, Antony will return to Old Trafford this summer, but the La Liga outfit have expressed a desire to explore a permanent move for the right-sided attacker during this summer's transfer window.
"I think so. The other day the CEO of United called me. We sent them all the moves and details of the player throughout the week so that they can see that we are looking after their asset," Real Betis CEO Ramon Alarcon told Cadena SER when asked about the possibility of a permanent move at the end of the campaign.
"There is very good chemistry with Manchester [United] and with the player. It is a possibility that he will continue next season, why not?"
Antony has impressed since arriving at Real Betis
Antony's agent recently played down suggestions that his client's time at Man United is over despite his loan departure.
"We understood in January that his moment at the club was not good, so Manchester United also understood that leaving on loan was the best way for Antony to recover his best form," Junior Pedroso told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via GiveMeSport.
"When we started thinking about and planning Antony's temporary transfer, we knew it would be a short-term project. Our concern would be for him and his family to adapt quickly and to find a style of play that would enhance his characteristics.
"Yes, Spanish football greatly strengthens Antony's main technical and physical characteristics. He has more freedom to use all his skills to the advantage of efficiency in attack. That's why we said yes, and Manchester United approved it too.
"Everyone's opinion was unanimous. After that, we mapped out the clubs he could play for and we came up with Betis as the ideal destination.
"I can tell you that clubs from England also wanted Antony, he had the chance to stay in the Premier League, but we preferred Real Betis. I can also reveal that Saudi Pro League clubs approached us over potential moves. It was another option but Spain was the best possible for the player.
"I believe that football is very dynamic. There are no long-term plans to be made. There may still be a few more chapters in his story with Manchester United, or there may not be. This will depend on many factors involving decisions by the club and him in the near future."
Juventus 'keen on summer move for Antony'
However, Man United are believed to be planning to move Antony on this summer, and with a permanent switch to Real Betis potentially problematic due to the money involved, another club are said to be expressing an interest.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus are keeping a close eye on the Brazilian's performances, with the Old Lady considering making a permanent move for him during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that 'it will not be an easy negotiation', but Antony's form has attracted the Italian team's attention, and the number of clubs interested is likely to increase if he continues to impress.
Antony has only managed 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances for Man United since his arrival from Ajax in the summer of 2022, but he has another two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
The forward has managed two goals and two assists in four La Liga appearances for Real Betis, with Antony thriving away from the pressure environment at Old Trafford. body check tags ::
