West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice reportedly asked Manchester United duo Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw about the club during the recent international break.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for the Hammers during the 2020-21 campaign and is believed to have been identified by Man United as a potential transfer target.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the defensive midfielder is interested in joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Rice spoke to both Maguire and Shaw about the Red Devils while away with England for the nation's recent World Cup qualification fixtures.

Man United are said to be keen to include Jesse Lingard as part of a move for the former Chelsea youngster, but David Moyes's side are allegedly not open to any offers for their key player.

Rice, who was strongly linked with a return to Chelsea this summer, is currently on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury. body check tags ::
