Report: Manchester United back in for Alex Sandro

By , Senior Reporter | 4d
Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is rumoured to be back on Manchester United's radar as the Italian giants are close to reaching an agreement for Real Madrid's Marcelo.

Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in Juventus defender Alex Sandro ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old has been strongly touted as a target for United, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the past, only to sign a new long-term deal with Juve in December that keeps him tied down until 2023.

Despite working hard to get Sandro to agree fresh terms, however, Tuttosport indicates that the Italian giants may be open to cashing in on the Brazil international later this year.

A deal for Real Madrid left-back Marcelo is rumoured to be close to completion, leaving Juventus less reliant on their current first-choice player in that position.

United are said to have been placed on red alert and may now make a fresh approach in the coming months.
