Manchester United sign former Manchester City youngster Reece Devine

Manchester United add former Manchester City defender Reece Devine and Birmingham City winger Connor Stanley to their Under-18s squad for the new season.

Manchester United have signed young left-back Reece Devine following his release by rivals Manchester City earlier this summer.

Devine, who was let go by the Citizens after two years at the club, will go straight into United's Under-18s side.

The Red Devils have also snapped up winger Connor Stanley from Birmingham City, as they attempt to strengthen their youth ranks following complaints by senior boss Jose Mourinho.

Despite Mourinho's recent criticism, United won the Under-18s Premier League North title last season.

Both Devine, who turns 17 a week before Christmas, and right-sided Stanley are in contention to feature in the Under-18s' league opener against Derby County next Friday.
