Liverpool are reportedly having second thoughts over whether to sign Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson this summer.

The Reds have been strongly tipped to strengthen in the left-back department ahead of next season amid uncertainty over the long-term futures of Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

Robertson has featured regularly under Arne Slot this season, but the 30-year-old Scotsman has at times faced criticism for his performances and has subsequently been rotated with Tsimikas on the left side of defence.

It is understood that one of Robertson or Tsimikas will leave Liverpool if they sign a new left-back, with the latter seemingly the most likely to depart at present.

A host of left-backs have recently been linked with a move to Anfield, including Fulham star Robinson, who has been one of Marco Silva's standout performers in the Premier League this season.

Indeed, the United States international has registered 10 assists in 28 top-flight appearances, the most by a defender and joint-second most of all players in the league, and his performances have helped the Cottagers climb up to ninth in the table, just five points behind the top four.

Robinson interest cools as Kerkez becomes 'concrete' target for Liverpool?

Robinson is believed to have been on Liverpool's radar for some time, but according to Football Insider, the Reds now have 'question marks' over the age of the Fulham star, who turns 28 in August.

The report adds that Bournemouth's 21-year-old Milos Kerkez is now regarded as a 'more concrete' left-back target this summer.

Like Robinson, Kerkez has excelled as an attack-minded full-back this season, chipping in with two goals and four assists in 27 Premier League games for a Bournemouth side who sit seventh in the top-flight standings and just four points behind the Champions League places.

Kerkez is allegedly expected to leave the Vitality Stadium this summer as a number of European clubs, including Liverpool, are said to hold an interest in the Hungary international.

Bournemouth could demand a fee in excess of £40m to part ways with Kerkez, who has also been linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, and recently revealed that he is aiming to reach "the top level".

Meanwhile, Football Insider also reports that Liverpool are plotting two more defensive signings - one centre-back and one right-back - amid uncertainty over the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are both out of contract in the summer. body check tags ::
