Liverpool 'handed huge boost in Timo Werner pursuit'

:Headline: Liverpool 'handed huge boost in Timo Werner pursuit':
Timo Werner is still 'very likely' to leave RB Leipzig this summer and Liverpool reportedly remain the favourites to sign him.

Timo Werner is still 'very likely' to leave RB Leipzig during this summer's transfer window.

The Germany international, who has scored 27 times in 36 appearances at club level this season, has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months.

A recent report claimed that the English club's pursuit of the centre-forward had suffered a setback due to the coronavirus outbreak, which has caused havoc across the world of sport.

However, according to Bleacher Report, Werner is still 'very likely' to leave Leipzig this summer, and Liverpool remain the 24-year-old's 'number one landing spot'.

The striker has seemingly been identified by Jurgen Klopp's side as the ideal player to provide competition for Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah in the final third of the field.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in his services. body check tags ::
