  • Bayer Leverkusen 'block Liverpool approach for Piero Hincapie'

Liverpool have supposedly had an approach for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie blocked by the Bundesliga club.

Jurgen Klopp is believed to be keen to add another centre-back to his ranks before the transfer window shuts, and Hincapie fits the bill in terms of what the German is looking for.

The 21-year-old started out as a left-back before recently transitioning to a central position, and he has played a key role for club and country over the past couple of years.

Hincapie was a regular for Xabi Alonso during Leverkusen's run to the Europa League semi-finals last season, and he started all three games for his nation at the 2022 World Cup.

Dean Henderson 'to undergo Crystal Palace medical tonight'

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been given permission to travel for his Crystal Palace medical tonight, according to a report.

The England international has failed to establish himself as the Red Devils' number one and is free to depart Old Trafford before the window slams shut on Friday.

A permanent move to Nottingham Forest was initially considered the most realistic outcome, after he helped Steve Cooper's side stave off relegation to the Championship last season.

However, a breakthrough in negotiations could not be reached between the two sides, and Forest instead turned their attention to ex-Arsenal shot-stopper Matt Turner.

Sofyan Amrabat 'waiting for Manchester United move'

Sofyan Amrabat is reportedly still waiting for Manchester United to make a move for him, with the midfielder currently being left out by Fiorentina amid the speculation surrounding his future.

The Morocco international did not feature in his side's Europa Conference League playoff first leg with Rapid Vienna on Thursday evening.

The midfielder will also not be involved against Lecce in Serie A on Sunday, with the 27-year-old currently training away from his teammates due to the transfer speculation.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Amrabat has been waiting for Man United since the end of June, but the 20-time English champions are yet to submit an offer.

Transfer rumours: Beto to Everton, Hudson-Odoi to Forest, Lo Celso to Villa

Everton have reportedly made a fresh approach to sign Udinese striker Beto.

The Toffees supposedly sent a €25m (£21.5m) proposal to the Italian side for the 25-year-old earlier this week, which was swiftly rejected.

Sean Dyche's side are refusing to give up on the Portuguese attacker, though, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have now come forward with a revised offer.

Romano states that the Toffees are now willing to go as high as €30m (£25.7m), although Udinese have instead pointed towards the €35m (£30m) release clause in Beto's contract.

Mason Greenwood 'fears for career after Man United axe'

Mason Greenwood is reportedly fearful for his career, having only received one concrete offer since it was confirmed that he would not be returning to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old had been facing serious criminal charges, but the case against him was dropped in February, meaning that he is free to resume his football career.

Man United had allegedly initially been looking to bring him back before changing their mind due to the public backlash.

The 20-time English champions announced at the start of last week that Greenwood would not be continuing his career with the Red Devils, although his contract, which has another two years left to run, has not been terminated.

Bayindir 'heading to England to complete Man United move'

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

The Red Devils have signed Andre Onana as their new number one following the departure of David de Gea, who ended his long association with the club at the end of June.

Dean Henderson is currently the number two with Tom Heaton on the sidelines through injury, but the former is widely expected to leave Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.

Crystal Palace are at the head of the queue for the England international, and according to The Telegraph, the stopper is expected to travel down to London following Man United's clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon in order to undergo a medical.

Erik ten Hag hints at left-back arrival at Manchester United

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has hinted that his side are in the market for a new left-back following news of Luke Shaw's injury blow.

A muscular problem is set to keep the England international on the sidelines in the coming weeks, while Tyrell Malacia is out until at least the end of September with a muscular issue of his own.

Man United also allowed Brandon Williams to leave on loan towards the end of last week, with the academy product making the move to Championship outfit Ipswich Town.

Diogo Dalot can cover the left-back spot, while Alvaro Fernandez is also an option, but the latter is expected to leave on loan before the end of the transfer window.

Ten Hag rules out attacking addition before end of transfer window

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has said that the club are not looking to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closes for business.

The Red Devils spent big on Rasmus Hojlund earlier this summer, but the Denmark international is yet to feature for his new club due to a troublesome back issue.

Man United have only scored once in their two Premier League matches this season, which came from centre-back Raphael Varane, with Marcus Rashford struggling at centre-forward.

Anthony Martial, meanwhile, cannot be relied upon to stay fit for extended period due to his injury problems.

    Spurs cool Edmond Tapsoba interest?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly cooled their interest in Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba, with the German club demanding £50m for the player.

The 24-year-old featured in all but one of Leverkusen's 34 Bundesliga matches last term - starting 32 of those - scoring the single goal as Xabi Alonso's men finished sixth.

Tapsoba has made 139 appearances for the BayArena club since switching from Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria de Guimaraes in January 2020, making the net ripple on six occasions from a centre-back role.

The right-footed defender is also a regular for his nation, having earned 20 caps for Burkina Faso since making his debut in the summer of 2017.

Man United interested in Wan-Bissaka, Semedo swap?

Manchester United would reportedly be willing to use Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a proposal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo.

Earlier this week, Wolves announced that the right-back had signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Molineux until 2025.

However, that decision was taken with Julen Lopetegui as head coach, the Spaniard having since left the club, and it has become increasingly apparent that Wolves have been required to take drastic measures to boost their position with FFP.

Semedo impressed in his club's opening fixture of 2023, a 1-0 defeat at Man United, yet he is believed to be one of the big earners - if not top - at the West Midlands outfit.

    Spurs considering Jota move?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been alerted to the availability of Al Ittihad winger Jota in the closing stages of this summer's transfer window.

The Portuguese made the switch to the Saudi Pro League in July, becoming the club's record signing at the time after moving from Scottish giants Celtic.

Jota helped the Hoops to easily take the Scottish Premiership title off arch rivals Rangers, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 league appearances.

The winger is yet to receive his maiden call-up for the Portugal senior side, however he has featured for his nation at both Under-20 and Under-21 level.

Chelsea 'decide on conditions for Lukaku loan to Roma'

Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have reportedly reached a decision over their desirable loan conditions for Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues have been eager to part ways with Lukaku on a permanent basis this summer, preferably in a deal worth in excess of £35m.

However, suitable offers have not been forthcoming, Inter Milan withdrawing their interest and Juventus not being in a position where they can afford the Belgium international.

As a result, Boehly and Clearlake Capital have been required to soften their stance on the former £97.5m signing, aware that there is little desire on all sides regarding a reintegration into the first-team squad.

The 21-year-old played 30 Bundesliga matches for Xabi Alonso's men last term - starting 27 of those - scoring one goal and providing one assist from a centre-back role.

Hincapie represented his nation Ecuador at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, starting all three of his side's group-stage matches against Qatar, Netherlands and Senegal.

Since joining from Argentinian outfit Talleres in the summer of 2021, the defender has made 76 appearances for German side, scoring three goals during his two years at the club.

Transfer rumours: West Ham agree Kudus deal, Daka to Bournemouth, Draxler to Palace

The forward has been linked with a number of clubs during this summer's transfer window, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all believed to be keen.

However, West Ham have recently emerged as the favourites for his signature, and according to Sky Sports News, the Hammers have now agreed a deal with Ajax for his services.

The report claims that David Moyes's side will pay an initial £35.6m for Kudus, potentially with a further £2.6m in performance-related add-ons.
