  • Chelsea, Spurs 'monitoring Fati situation at Barcelona'

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both keeping a close eye on Ansu Fati's situation at Barcelona in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has featured off the bench in all three of Barcelona's La Liga matches this season, but there is still thought to be a chance that he could leave Camp Nou before the market closes.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding Fati's future this year, with his father Bori Fati saying back in March that he wants his son to leave the club in order to secure regular starts.

The Spain international burst onto the scene in 2019, but a series of serious injuries have harmed his progress over the last few years.

Folarin Balogun joins Monaco from Arsenal

Monaco have completed the signing of Folarin Balogun on a five-year deal from Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the Ligue 1 outfit until 2028, joining for an undisclosed fee thought to be worth around €40m (£34.6m).

Arsenal are expected to receive €30m (£25.9m) up front, with the rest coming as add-ons, while the London club are also understood to have a sell-on clause of almost 20% as part of the agreement.

The move sees Balogun end a 15-year association with Arsenal, having joined the Gunners as an eight-year-old in 2008.

MK Dons sign Jack Payne on loan from Charlton

"I'm really glad to be here. When I heard about the interest it was something that really interested me and I'm excited to get going," he told the club website.

"I spoke to the manager before joining and we had positive conversations, where he spoke highly of the place. It's always important to get a good feeling when you talk to a manager, and I got that straight away. I'm really excited to work with him.

"The lads have been doing really well, so I don't expect to just arrive and go straight into the team but, obviously, I'm going to be doing my best in training, and when I get the chance, I'm going to give it my all to help this team continue to be successful."

Head coach Graham Alexander added: "We are really pleased to have Jack Payne through the door.

"We were really clear on what we needed to bring in to help support the players that are already here. Jack is a player that we feel we need, complimenting Ash Hunter who we have also brought it in – one is a left-footer and one is right-footed, which gives us real balance.

"He is a player I tried to sign previously but it didn't work out so I'm glad to get the opportunity to work with him this time around and I believe he will be a really good signing for us."

Blackpool sign Karamoko Dembele on loan

"I'm super excited to be here and to meet the players, staff and supporters," he told the club website.

"I've had some good moments in my career so far at both Celtic and Brest, and those experiences have helped me develop as a person and a player, and hopefully that will help me during my time here.

"I like to bring excitement and entertainment to the pitch, and hopefully I can add some goals and assists to the team this season."

Manager Neil Critchley added: "Karamoko is someone who will provide us with flexibility in how we want to play at the top of the pitch. He has attributes that we believe can bring a different dimension to our team, and we're excited to see what he can produce in a tangerine shirt.

"Having gained experience in the French top division and coming up against Marseille as recently as Saturday, we're looking forward to integrating Kaddy in to the group and helping him develop during the season."

Chelsea 'fail with £35m bid for Palmer as asking price is revealed'

Chelsea have reportedly failed with an opening £35m bid for Manchester City attacker Cole Palmer.

The 21-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Man City head coach Pep Guardiola recently admitting that the forward could be on the move before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea are believed to be huge admirers of the Englishman, and according to The Guardian, the Blues presented Man City with a £35m offer for his services.

The report claims that the Premier League champions had their opening bid turned down, but an offer of £45m is likely to be enough for Mauricio Pochettino's team to sign him.

Crawley sign Laurence Maguire on loan from Chesterfield

"I am really pleased to get Laurence before the end of the deadline. He is someone that we have been tracking for months now," said manager Scott Lindsey.

"He is a left-footed centre-back who is very comfortable in possession and is also a very good defender. He is a great addition to a very good squad and will be in contention at the weekend."

Transfer rumours: Kolo Muani to PSG, Ekitike to Frankfurt, Palhinha to Bayern

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly missed training in a bid to push through a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are determined to sign the France international before Friday's deadline, as they continue to rebuild their forward line following the departures of Lionel Messi and Neymar.

According to Sky Sports News, Frankfurt rejected a £68.6m (€80m) bid from PSG on Tuesday, with the German club holding out for a fee closer to £85.5m.

Frankfurt have now revealed that Kolo Muani refused to take part in Wednesday's training session ahead of the club's Europa Conference League qualifying clash against Levski Sofia on Thursday.

Gravenberch 'hoping to join Liverpool or Man United before deadline'

Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly hopeful of joining either Liverpool or Manchester United before the end of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old's future has recently been the subject of much speculation, and he has refused to rule out a move away from Allianz Arena before Friday's deadline.

Both Liverpool and Man United are being heavily linked with the Netherlands international, who has only played nine minutes of competitive football for Bayern this season.

Man United are thought to view the midfielder as an alternative to Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat, while Liverpool are also bidding to boost their midfield department before the window closes.

Brentford 'hold talks over Azzedine Ounahi deal'

Brentford have reportedly held preliminary discussions over a deal to sign Marseille midfielder Azzedine Ounahi.

The Bees have strengthened their squad this summer with the permanent additions of Mark Flekken, Nathan Collins and Kevin Schade.

They have been looking to bolster their attacking options in recent weeks, chasing deals for Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson and Fiorentina's Nico Gonzalez.

However, they have seemingly turned their attention to the middle of the park after Thomas Frank recently revealed that midfielders Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste are out for an extended period.

Al-Ittihad 'sound out Liverpool over Konate deal'

Ibrahima Konate has reportedly become the latest Liverpool player to be targeted by a Saudi Arabian club, in this case Al-Ittihad.

While Jurgen Klopp was keen to refresh his squad after the end of 2022-23, the German did not anticipate having to cope with his players being constantly linked with a switch to the Middle East.

Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have each moved to Al-Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq respectively, while there has been no shortage of speculation regarding the future of Mohamed Salah.

Barring a surprise change of stance from Liverpool, Salah will remain at Anfield for the current season, but that has not stopped more of his teammates attracting admirers from the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea considering late move for Ivan Toney?

Chelsea are allegedly giving consideration to trying to agree a deal with Brentford for Ivan Toney.

Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has made no secret of wanting to sign at least one more attacking player before the end of the summer transfer window.

Christopher Nkunku is sidelined until at least November with a knee injury, while Armando Broja has been absent since December due to an ACL injury.

Pochettino has been reliant on Mason Burstow to provide backup to Nicolas Jackson during the opening weeks of the season, it currently unclear whether the youngster will remain at Stamford Bridge or go out on loan.

Man United 'approach Roma to discuss Spinazzola deal'

Manchester United have reportedly been in touch with Roma to discuss the possibility of signing defender Leonardo Spinazzola before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are looking to bring in a new left-back before Friday's deadline, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both on the sidelines through injury.

Diogo Dalot played at left-back against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but head coach Erik ten Hag is said to be desperate to sign a specialist in that area of the field over the next few days.

Chelsea's Marc Cucurella appears to have emerged as the favourite ahead of the likes of Barcelona's Marcos Alonso and Tottenham Hotspur's Sergio Reguilon.

Man City, Wolves 'reach agreement over Nunes fee'

Manchester City have reportedly made the breakthrough in negotiations with Wolverhampton Wanderers for midfielder Matheus Nunes.

Once it became apparent that the Premier League champions would not be signing Lucas Paqueta from West Ham United, attention quickly switched to trying to bring in an alternative.

Last week, it emerged that Nunes was Pep Guardiola's preferred choice, the City boss having previously described the Portugal international as 'one of the best players in the world'.

City saw a bid in the region of £47m rejected by Wolves and subsequent offers were also turned down by the West Midlands outfit as they held firm over receiving at least £60m.

Fermin Lopez signs new long-term Barcelona contract

Barcelona have confirmed that midfielder Fermin Lopez has signed a new contract at Camp Nou.

The 20-year-old spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan with Linares Deportivo in Spain's third tier, and he scored 12 goals and registered four assists in 40 appearances for the club during a successful spell.

During pre-season, Barcelona head coach Xavi said that Lopez would be involved with the first team this season and that has been the case in the early weeks of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Spaniard was an unused substitute in the opening two games of the new La Liga season against Getafe and Cadiz, before debuting off the bench in Sunday's 4-3 win over Villarreal.

Lorient 'reach agreement with Man United to loan Van de Beek'

Manchester United have reportedly accepted a loan offer from Lorient for Donny van de Beek.

The Netherlands international is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, and the Red Devils had been hopeful of moving him on permanently before the end of the transfer window.

However, a proposed move to Real Sociedad broke down, and it is believed that the majority of interest at this stage of the transfer market is arriving in the shape of loan offers.

According to Foot Mercato, Man United have accepted a loan offer from Lorient, but the French side are yet to come to an agreement with the midfielder over a move.

Manchester United 'working on loan deal for Sofyan Amrabat'

Manchester United are reportedly in discussions over a loan deal for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

The Morocco international's future has been the subject of much speculation this summer, with a number of clubs believed to be keen to sign him before the end of the market.

However, it is understood that Man United have always been the 27-year-old's first choice, with Amrabat said to be 'waiting' for the 20-time English champions to make their move.

Amrabat is not currently being used by Fiorentina amid the speculation surrounding his future, while he is also training separately from the main group at the Italian club.

Wolves 'on brink of signing Girona defender Bueno'

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly closing in on the signing of Girona defender Santiago Bueno.

Throughout the summer transfer window, Wolves supporters have been left frustrated by their club's efforts in the market, owners Fosun International insisting that they need to make cutbacks to meet FFP criteria.

As it stands, only the acquisition of Matt Doherty on a free transfer has been made to bolster the senior ranks, focus instead being placed on player sales.

However, the potential big-money departure of Matheus Nunes would leave Wolves in a position where they could make a number of signings before Friday's transfer deadline.

Man City 'prepared to walk away from Matheus Nunes chase'

Manchester City reportedly have no intention of paying what they perceive to be over the odds for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Matheus Nunes.

Having tried and failed to sign West Ham United's Lucas Paqueta, manager Pep Guardiola has turned his attention to Nunes, a player who he has rated for a number of years.

When City initially made an offer in the region of £47m last week, there was every expectation that a resolution would eventually be found.

However, the two clubs are seemingly at an impasse, not helped by Nunes deciding to go on strike in a bid to force a transfer to the Etihad Stadium.

Chelsea 'to open talks with Man City for Cole Palmer'

Chelsea have reportedly identified Manchester City playmaker Cole Palmer as a potential addition ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

The Blues have enjoyed a hugely productive few months in the market, parting ways with a wide array of players to make room for their preferred alternatives in all areas of the pitch.

However, Mauricio Pochettino is still short in the final third, the Argentine acknowledging on more than one occasion that he would like to sign a versatile attacker.

That is partly due to Christopher Nkunku being sidelined until the back end of 2023 with a knee injury and Armando Broja yet to prove his fitness after a more serious issue in the same area.

Hull sign goalkeeper Ryan Allsop from Cardiff

"I'm absolutely delighted that Ryan has joined us and he's going to add a lot of competition and quality to our goalkeeping department," said manager Liam Rosenior.

"I've worked with him before and I know his potential and ability. He's brave and fantastic with his feet – one of the best, if not the best, in the league in terms of his distribution.

"He makes important saves, has played in every league – Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two – and is a good character, leader and talker.

"We identified him for a long time as someone who would fit into our style of play and I'm excited to see his quality playing our way.

"We want competition in every position on the pitch and having two outstanding goalkeepers at this level is exactly what we wanted."

Leeds sign Djed Spence on loan from Tottenham

Leeds United have completed the signing of Djed Spence on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the 2023-24 campaign.

The 23-year-old becomes Leeds' sixth signing of the summer following their relegation from the Premier League, and their second loan signing from Spurs after Joe Rodon also joined on a season-long deal.

The Whites have also brought in Joel Piroe, Ethan Ampadu, Karl Darlow and Sam Byram for their return to the Championship this term.

Spence could make his debut for Leeds when they host Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Chelsea 'considering return for Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix'

Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Stamford Bridge, scoring four goals in 20 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.

Chelsea turned down the chance to sign him on a permanent basis earlier this summer, but according to 90min, the capital outfit are considering making a move before Friday's deadline.

The report claims that a number of Chelsea officials are keen on Felix, but it will be up to head coach Mauricio Pochettino to decide whether the club will make an official approach.

Wolves boss O'Neil expecting Man City to fail with Nunes bid

Head coach Gary O'Neil has insisted that he "fully expects" Matheus Nunes to still be at Wolverhampton Wanderers come the end of the week.

Last week, reports began to emerge that Manchester City had made an approach for the Portugal international, an alternative to Lucas Paqueta who they tried and failed to sign from West Ham United.

Wolves immediately rejected the first bid from the Premier League champions and that has remained their stance with other offers said to have been made over the coming days.

Nunes has taken it upon himself to stop training with Wolves in an effort to force a transfer to the Etihad Stadium, a development which has since been confirmed by O'Neil.

Transfer rumours: Tavares to Forest, Iwobi to Fulham, Origi to Burnley

Nottingham Forest have reportedly come to an agreement with Arsenal over a deal for Nuno Tavares.

The 23-year-old is free to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future over the last few weeks.

Forest have recently emerged as the favourites for the full-back, and according to the Daily Mail, the Reds have now come to an agreement with Arsenal over a deal.

The report claims that Tavares is set to move on loan to Steve Cooper's side for the 2023-24 campaign, while there will be the option to make the move permanent for around £12m next summer.
