Manchester United are set to be without at least six players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Fulham at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw is facing "a few months" on the sidelines after suffering a recurrence of a muscle injury in last weekend's 2-1 victory at Luton Town.
Fellow defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka (unspecified), Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia (both knee), all remain in the treatment room along with Anthony Martial (groin) and Mason Mount (calf).
Victor Lindelof replaced Shaw on the stroke of half time against Luton and he could be tasked with operating a left-back on Saturday; Sofyan Amrabat is another option having briefly played on the left side of defence earlier this season, while Diogo Dalot is expected to continue at right-back.
Should Lindelof start at left-back, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans will all battle to play in central defence, with the former two seemingly the most likely duo to begin against Fulham.
Kobbie Mainoo has receive plenty of plaudits for his performances in midfield and the 18-year-old is expected to link arms with Casemiro, while captain Bruno Fernandes – who scored a stoppage-time winner in the 1-0 win at Fulham in November last year – is set to keep his place in the number 10 role.
Erik ten Hag has little reason to shake up his front three, with Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund – who has scored in each of his last six Premier League games – all expected to retain their places in attack.
