Manchester United have defined the Premier League era unlike any other club, with Sir Alex Ferguson's side dominating the competition since its inception in 1992.

The Red Devils were well behind fierce rivals Liverpool in the race to be England's most successful club when the Premier League came into being, but they ended a 26-year wait for a top-flight title in the competition's first season and have not looked back since.

Thirteen Premier League crowns later and United have not only established themselves as the most successful domestic team in England, but they have also catapulted themselves to the top of the football rich list.

Success has been slower since Ferguson's retirement in 2013, but they are still one of the main players in the division and Jose Mourinho will be hoping to end what is already their longest Premier League title drought in the coming campaign.
