Jose Mourinho: 'I should cry about Manchester United injuries'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that he regrets neglecting discussing injured players and that he should 'cry' over United's injuries in the future.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that he regrets neglecting to discuss injured players and that he should 'cry' over United's injuries in the future.

United will be without midfielder Paul Pogba for their 12th successive game after the Frenchman picked up a hamstring injury in the club's 3-0 win over Basel on September 12.

Pogba has been hailed as the key instrument in his partnership with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who has not scored in his last six outings.

"I think it's my fault because I should cry every week about our injuries and remember everybody day after day or press conference after press conference," Mourinho told the Manchester Evening News.

"I should remember every day our situation, so it's my fault, it's my decision, it's my way of dealing with problems, it's my way of trying to motivate and give confidence to the players that are going to replace people.

"But again maybe I have to reconsider my profile. I know that I moan with a lot of things but I don't do with injuries and probably I should."

Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge having won three Premier League titles with Chelsea in two spells with the current champions.
