Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Brentford.
Sports Mole

Manchester United will be aiming to end a five-game winless run in all competitions when they welcome Brentford to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils entered the October international break off the back of a goalless draw with Aston Villa, which left them down in 14th position in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag has kept his job as manager despite the team's struggles this term, but there will be major pressure on the Dutchman to oversee an improvement in the coming weeks.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Brentford, who recorded an eye-catching 5-3 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.

Manuel Ugarte

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brentford)

Man United will need to assess the fitness of new signing Ugarte after the midfielder was forced off in the latter stages of Uruguay's clash with Ecuador on Tuesday night with an apparent injury issue.

Leny Yoro

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Arsenal)

Yoro will be out until at least the start of December due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during a pre-season clash with Arsenal, with his debut for the club potentially coming against the Gunners in the Premier League.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia missed the entire 2023-24 season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, and the left-back is still not ready to return, but it has been claimed that he could be back before the end of October.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has been absent early in the season due to a calf problem, and the left-back is still not ready to feature, but he is expected to be available at some stage in the near future.

Noussair Mazraoui

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Heart
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brentford)

Mazraoui has been recovering after undergoing a minor heart procedure, but Ten Hag has revealed that the left-back is in line to feature against Brentford.

Kobbie Mainoo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Mainoo was not risked in the recent Europa League clash against Porto due to a minor muscular issue; he did return to the side against Villa, but the midfielder pulled out of the England squad for their October fixtures to recover, and it has now been confirmed that he will be missing for "a few weeks".

Mason Mount

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Head/knock
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brentford)

A head injury and a knock contributed to Mount missing out against Porto in the Europa League and Villa in the Premier League, but he has a chance of returning for this match.

Alejandro Garnacho

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brentford)

Garnacho did not travel with the Argentina squad for their October fixtures due to a minor knee problem, but the forward is set to be available for selection against Brentford, as he returned to training on Thursday.

Amad Diallo

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: October 19 (vs. Brentford)

Amad pulled out of the Ivory Coast during the international break due to an illness, but the attacker is expected to be in the squad against Brentford on Saturday afternoon after training on Thursday.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Man United will be without the services of central defender Maguire for the next "few weeks" due to the muscular problem that forced him off the field in the clash with Villa last time out.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for the Premier League clash.
