To celebrate the upcoming FA Cup quarter-finals, heycar - the official broadcast sponsor of the FA Cup on BT Sport - has unveiled a collection of themed motors together with designer YasidDESIGN.

Al-Yasid Oozeear, 34, has designed unique cars for all eight of the tournament's quarter-finalists ahead of this weekend's fixtures, in an attempt to bring fans closer to the action while teams play in front of empty stands amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Seven Premier League sides in Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Southampton, Sheffield United and Leicester City will be taking to the field this weekend, while Bournemouth represent the only Championship outfit left in the competition.

To that end, Al-Yasid - who boasts a 300,000-strong following on his Instagram page - has aspired to encapsulate each club's own unique achievements and historical values in his creations, and that is not all that impassioned supporters have to look forward to.

YasidDESIGN has also included special "Easter Eggs" in all eight images, designed to put the knowledge of the club's loyal fanbase to the test.

For example, Manchester City's Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ - valued at a staggering £4.2m - represents the club's enormous wealth, while the "FA06CUP" personalised number plate celebrates their six triumphs in England's most prestigious competition.

Al-Yasid has treated The Citizens' bitter rivals - Manchester United, AKA the Red Devils - to a Devel Sixteen, with the mascot's hairdryer symbolising the infamous half-time treatment that Sir Alex Ferguson's players were often on the receiving end of during his illustrious stint at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Southampton - the team that knocked the reigning holders Arsenal out of the tournament earlier this year - have been given the James Bond treatment with a Volvo P1800 coupe. The late Roger Moore drove that exact car in the 1960s TV show 'The Saint' - a fitting tribute for the South Coast outfit, whose 1976 triumph is also celebrated on their design.

Speaking to heycar about the project, Al-Yasid - who has also worked on the 2018 Spider-Man PS4 game, said: "This has been an incredibly fun project to work on.

"I've tried to capture the essence of each club in every vehicle. And by adding a range of Easter eggs I've set an extra challenge for supporters. Cars and football have been my passion since I was a youngster. To combine both has been a dream."

The company's Chief Marketing Officer Tracy Woods added: "The magic of the FA Cup isn't restricted to the action on the pitch. The journey to and from a match is the source of many cherished memories for fans over the years.

"But while we cheer our teams on from home this season we're delighted to be able to share a collection of incredible motors inspired by the quarter finalists in the greatest club competition on earth."

The quarter-finals of the FA Cup kick off with Bournemouth taking on Southampton on Saturday lunchtime before Everton play host to Manchester City later that evening.

Sunday afternoon sees Chelsea take on Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, while Manchester United travel to Leicester City to determine the final spot in the last four of the competition.
