Manchester City have reportedly met with Benfica to discuss a summer move for Joao Felix.

Felix - widely regarded as one of the best young talents in world football - has been linked with a whole host of clubs in recent months.

Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are amongst those said to be interested in the 19-year-old, who scored 20 times and registered 11 assists in 43 appearances for the Eagles during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to The Sun, City chief executive Ferran Soriano met with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira and agent Jorge Mendes on Thursday to discuss a swoop for the Under-21 Portugal international.

Felix - valued at £105m by his Portuguese side - only signed a new contract at the Estadio da Luz in the latter stages of 2018.

Benfica are said to be preparing a huge contract in a bid to keep the attacker at the club for at least another 12 months.
