Pep Guardiola 'wants Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ben Chilwell for £80m'

By , European Football Editor | 4d
Manchester City want to sign Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City's Ben Chilwell this summer, according to a report.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly determined to bring Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester City's Ben Chilwell to the Etihad Stadium in this summer's transfer window.

Wan-Bissaka has quickly developed into one of the best young defenders in Premier League football, with the 21-year-old putting in a string of impressive performances for the Eagles this term.

Chilwell, meanwhile, has recently broken into the England set-up, but he only signed a new long-term contract with Leicester in the latter stages of 2018.

According to The Sun, Guardiola has had both Wan-Bissaka and Chilwell watched in recent months and the Spaniard wants to bring the English duo to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

The report has claimed that Chilwell could be available for £50m, while £30m should be enough to tempt Palace into selling Wan-Bissaka ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.

City spent more than £100m on full-backs Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy in the summer of 2017, but the former has struggled for form this season while the latter has found it difficult to stay fit.
