Report: David Silva to join hometown club Las Palmas in 2019

Spain midfielder David Silva will reportedly leave Manchester City when his contract expires in 2019 to join hometown club Las Palmas.

David Silva has decided to see out his Manchester City contract before returning to Spain in two years' time, according to reports.

The Roja international has been with the Citizens since 2010, when he joined the Etihad Stadium outfit from Valencia for £25m.

Silva's time at City has coincided with the most successful period in the club's history, winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups.

However, Spanish outlet Elgoldigital has claimed that Silva has agreed to join Canaries outfit Las Palmas once his City contract expires in the summer of 2019.

The report goes on to suggest that the deal is subject to Las Palmas - Silva's hometown club - being in La Liga going into the 2019-20 season.

The 31-year-old has also won two European Championships and the World Cup with Spain.
