Roberto Firmino has made the bench for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Aston Villa in what will be his farewell Anfield appearance.

The Brazilian attacker, who will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, has missed the Reds' last six games with a muscular problem, but Jurgen Klopp offered a positive update on his condition on Friday.

While Firmino has not been considered for a starting berth, the 31-year-old could enjoy a cameo role in his final home match for Liverpool, who will also lose Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the end of the season.

However, Milner is the only other member of the out-of-contract quartet to make the bench, as Keita - who is also injured - and Oxlade-Chamberlain miss out altogether, with Klopp naming an unchanged lineup from Monday's win over Leicester City.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has made three changes to the side that overcame Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, as Boubacar Kamara, Matty Cash and Lucas Digne come into the XI.

Emiliano Buendia, Ashley Young and Alex Moreno are the ones to make way, while the injured Philippe Coutinho is absent against his former club.
